I love this meme! It is really great to see your own improvement.

When I did the original in 2010 I was awfully proud of it.
This was one of the first images I started to practise male anatomy on, I had just discovered how to use brushes and textures (beware of the glitter) and I began to tackle some non-cell digital shading (it is still there but mixed with some highlights and softer shadows).
Back then it was a vast improvement.

Going back to it, I see a ton of mistakes, most obvious the lack of likeness to the artist, the proportions and the overall too smooth, plastik-like look. There is also the matter of me being a little trigger-happy with the glitter brush.

But despite all those issues it is still dear to me because of all the new techniques I tried there.

So... I decided to revisit it. because I wanted to see where I'd take this idea 3 years later. Apparently I am not in the mood for romance atm.... things got a little bit out of hand. No more glitter here...
The full picture has legs but for the meme I decided I wanted to use the same size and Image section. Not sure if I'll finish the full-body version. If I do, I will upload it as a separate picture.

For the arm I looked through several galleries because I am afraid I still need to look up how muscles work when I do things like that. Ther is a pretty similar one in the same series by the same photographer/model mjranum-stock.deviantart.com/a… but it's not the only reference picture I looked at.
